Who can get the vaccine?

The vaccine will be administered in phases as determined by the state health agencies.  Below are the phases for Georgia.

We are in Phase 1A+

  • Healthcare workers
  • Staff and residents at long-term care facilities
  • Adults aged 65+ and their caregivers
  • Law enforcement, firefighters, first responders

2

  • Individuals aged 40-63 in congregate settings

3

  • Individuals aged 16-39 in critical industries and at moderate risk of exposure – restaurants, hairstylists, barbers

4

  • All other Georgia residents aged 16+

How much will it cost?

There will be a $0 copay or cost-share.  This includes both doses when two doses are required.

Where is it available?

Availability varies widely and things are changing daily.  State and County Health departments have developed websites listing locations where vaccines are available and how to schedule appointments.  At this time, employers are not authorized to distribute the vaccine.  Here is the link to the Georgia Department of Health site: https://dph.georgia.gov/locations/covid-vaccination-site
