As an employee benefits consultant with The Benefit Company, Nick is a recognized resource for self-funding, PBM optimization and employee benefit captives. He leverages his passion for data analytics to focus on multi-year strategies to bring cost reduction in employer health spending. His approach to benefits aims to bring price and quality transparency to an otherwise opaque industry. Nick thrives on working with companies which have a long-term focus and executive engagement.
Nick is a Risk Management and Insurance graduate of the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. Following graduation, Nick joined BenefitMall, a leading general agent in the group health and welfare industry. He provided consulting support to more than 150 unique agencies/brokers in greater Atlanta. In that role, Nick gained extensive knowledge on the inner-workings of insurance companies, providers, HR services, and brokers of all disciplines. Nick holds Georgia Accident & Sickness and Life licenses, is certified in Self-funding through the National Association of Health Insurance, is a Group Benefits Associate, and a Group Benefits Disability Specialist.
Nick grew up in Habersham County, Georgia where he will often return to visit family and his mother’s BBQ restaurant. He currently lives in Buckhead with his three year-old Boykin Spaniel. When not serving his clients, his avid love of UGA Sports, the Braves and the Falcons is apparent. Most weekends you can find him outdoors walking 18 holes or a new trail. He is active with SHRM-Atlanta where he has served in several key leadership roles and currently serves as the VP of Volunteer Initiatives. A former Board Member of the Japan American Society, Nick currently serves on the executive team for The Terry College of Business Young Alumni Board and the Sigma Nu House Corporation. In 2016 Nick was recognized as one of the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 30 under 30 Who’s Who.
